Portugal has been ranked joint 16th in a league of the world’s best places to live.
The Quality of Life League compiled by US travel magazine International Living, listed 191 countries using nine criteria for its ranking.
Portugal was placed alongside Finland, Malta, Croatia, Liechtenstein and Monaco. France came first, followed by Australia and the Netherlands.
