ARGUABLY THE world’s most famous all-terrain race, Lisboa-Dakar, has already received 670 entries for next year’s race.
Between May 15 and June 22, a total of 220 entries were received in the car category, 350 in the motorbike and quad bike section, and 100 racing in trucks.
The application period was extended this year to encourage more entrants and those selected will be the best possible competitors.
Etienne Lavigne, head of the race organisation, said he hoped that the 2008 race would be the best yet with top quality racers.
The 2008 Lisbon-Dakar race will take place between January 5 and 20.
