THE PS government’s plans to accelerate decentralisation, giving more power to regional and municipal authorities in Portugal, will be top on its priority list if it wins a second term.
Prime Minister José Sócrates signalled the government’s intention to press forward with regionalisation in the next parliament when the issue would be put to the people via a referendum.
