Celebrations in honour of Our Lady of the Conception are taking place in Quarteira on December 7 and 8. The religious festivities will see a procession taking the route from Igreja da Nossa Senhora da Conceição to Igreja de São Pedro do Mar on the Friday at 9pm. On the Saturday from 2.30pm, the statue of the town’s patron saint will be carried along the main avenue to the Porto de Abrigo, where it will be taken on board a fishing boat.
