A run/walk to mark International Women’s Day is being held on Sunday in Tavira from 10am.
The initiative, organised by the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA), aims to not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also to raise funds for the construction of Casa Flor das Dunas, a temporary home for cancer patients receiving treatment at the Algarve Radiotherapy Unit in Faro.
Participants should register on the day at Praça da República, also the starting point. Registration costs €5 per person.
