THE DISTINGUISHED coroner who carried out a post mortem on the body of Portuguese Prime Minister Francisco Sá Carneiro has died at the age of 74.
Dr. José Sombreireiro carried out more than 40,000 post mortems in a career that spanned 36 years, but he will always be remembered for being the doctor that autopsied the famous Prime Minister who today many believe was the victim of an assassination attempt.
