Dear Editor,
Just to let you and the Portuguese authorities know that this will be our last of 10 holidays in Portugal due to the A22 being tolled. In future, we will be going back to the Balearic Islands.
We have visited Portugal many times and have enjoyed seeing the Algarve in and out of season. We even stay in the Algarve to visit the Formula 1 winter testing in Jerez, Spain, but no more. We will stay in Cadiz, Spain.
Should the tolls be removed for tourists or hire cars, we may consider returning but until then it is sadly goodbye.
