Portuguese entrepreneur Patrick Monteiro de Barros is “ashamed” of the country’s minimum wage (€485), which he declared was “one of the lowest of Europe”.
During a conference in Lisbon, the businessman talked of his dismay and gave the example of electricity prices, which are at the same level of other European countries although most of those countries receive much higher salaries. He declared this to be “unacceptable”.
