The 16-piece Strings & Things Show Band will be holding a “grand performance” on Saturday, April 21 at the São Brás firefighters gymnasium (near the museum), at 7pm. The local band will be introducing special guests from Sweden, the 12-piece Ukulele Ladies.
The event, in aid of the São Brás fire department and The Salvation Army, promises to be a “fun night of authentic American country and western music”, with musicians dressed in full costume, playing music by the Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many others throughout the decades.
There will be prizes for the best country and western costume.
Tickets cost €20 and include a meal of “Big Cheese Burgers, slathered with fried onions, salad, French fries and baked beans, and a choice of desserts” (two drinks included). Bar is also available.
To reserve tickets, contact Howard on 919 968 768 or email stringsandthings@hotmail.com
Tickets are also available from Strings & Things Music Shop in São Brás de Alportel and Jem’s Showrooms, also in São Brás.
