The rogue pod of orcas that has been immobilising sailing boats by damaging their rudders since January last year (click here) has struck yet again on the west coast of Portugal, this time close to Peniche. The ‘Barbarella’, flying a German flag, on course for Lisbon and then Gibraltar, had to be towed to port for repairs. As with previous ‘orca interactions’, the crew stressed the animals had not been in any way aggressive: “they just appear to be playing”…
