Prime minister António Costa confirmed the death of a second Portuguese citizen in the Barcelona terror attack on Thursday.
The 20-year-old woman had been reported as ‘missing’ since the attack, which claimed the lives of 15 other people, including her 74-year-old grandmother (click here).
The two women had only just arrived in Barcelona for a week’s holiday.
The father of the dead young woman is also the son of the dead older woman.
Consular authorities are supporting the family, reported to live in Sintra, near Lisbon.
