AROUND 3,000 people attended an elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony in eastern India for two monkeys last week.
The furry bride was dressed in a five-metre long sari decorated in flowers and, the groom was taken by procession to a temple in the company of hundreds of onlookers making loud and synchronised ululations typical in a Hindu marriage. The guests were served a feast of rice, lentils, vegetables, fish and sweets. The owners have released the happy couple back into the wild and they have been spotted hanging around the temple where they got married.
