FRIDAY, MAY 13 will be remembered by all who attended the Global Issues Charity Dinner, Auction and Fashion Show as a night when the students of St. Julian’s School excelled. The evening, organised by Daisy Dier and her body of students, was a success with charities Casa Mãe do Gradil and Ajuda de Mãe being the recipients of the funds raised from the event. The fashion show of jewellery, from designers Natasha Duncan, João Clara, Cristina Silva, Bagau and Sílvio Alexandre, was modelled by the students. The auction followed and the highlight was the 380 euro bid for a helicopter ride across the Tejo river for a game of golf and lunch at Aroeira on the south margin. B.H.
