Strip clubs in the tourist hotspot of Rua Sá Carneiro in Oura, Albufeira, are among the night-life establishments that have suffered an estimated 50% drop in business because of the economic crisis, according to night-club boss Domingos Vieira, who was speaking to Correio da Manhã newspaper.
Clients are drinking less and those who regularly visited strip clubs three or four nights a week are now coming only one night, he said.
Vieira, who manages the Kiss discotheque and a number of bars, added that some nightspots and clubs may have to shut their doors for the winter months through lack of business, leaving employees jobless.
