Silves Câmara announced extended opening hours for the city’s Moorish castle during the summer months.
Visitors to Silves are now able to enjoy the historical monument from 9am to 7pm (last entry at 6.30pm) until September 30.
Designated as a National Monument since 1910, Silves Castle is one of the city’s most famous landmarks, with around 300,000 people visiting it each year.
Entry costs €2.50 for adults and €1.25 for children, students and pensioners.
