The chips are down

From haute cuisine to burger and chips, the head chef at a restaurant in Oxfordshire, UK, has thrown in his apron after the owner decided to change the menu from French cuisine to more traditional pub grub.

The Goose was awarded a Michelin star in January for its quality cuisine making it one of the best eateries in the country.

However, it has now closed after a mass walk out by kitchen staff when the owner declared that a menu to include burger and chips would be put in place instead.

The pub is due to re-open in March but it will be farewell to scallops and sweetbreads and hello to pie and mash.
