PARTY GOERS in Stirlingshire, Scotland, who sent balloons with candles attached floating into the sky, caused local police to be flooded with reports of UFO sightings.
Party guests had released balloons with candles into the air with wishes that they hoped would come true.
Residents in the surrounding area, however, were shocked by the sight of the illuminated globes in the sky, mistaking them for an alien invasion.
Central Scotland Police said they received more than a dozen calls in half an hour from locals who thought the balloons were alien space ships.
