Violent game

A VIOLENT video game called Manhunt 2 has been removed from the shelves in Portugal.

The game has already been banned in England and Ireland and, more recently, caused uproar when it was released in the US.

The game focuses on a man who escapes from a mental institution and goes on a murderous rampage.

Strauss Zelnick, President of the Take Two Interactive Group behind the game and also known for its popular Grand Theft Auto and Carmageddon games, said: “Once parents and consumers are informed about the nature of the game, they can make their own minds up about it.”

The first Manhunt had been given an 18 rating.
