Dário Lima, the shepherd from Arcos de Valdevez who lost 68 goats in a freak lightning strike last week (click here) is being supported through IFAP, the institute of finance for agriculture and fisheries, the agriculture ministry has announced. Said the ministry in a statement, this horror constitutes a clear case of ‘force majeur’ and as such Mr Lima will receive all the help he needs to reconstitute his herd.
