AHETA criticises marketing strategies for Algarve tourism

AHETA, the hoteliers association, has criticised public entity Associação do Turismo do Algarve for “not representing the essence” of what tourism has to offer in the Algarve and for sorely lacking when it comes to ideas on marketing and sales. Defending the advantage of putting tourist promotion in the hands of the private sector, AHETA claims that the status quo has always been the “Achilles heel” of tourism in the Algarve.
