FARO AIRPORT registered a 0.1 per cent drop in passenger numbers and a 2.4 per cent fall in air traffic last month, compared to March 2007.
A reduction in passengers from Germany accounted for a significant part of the drop in passenger numbers, while air traffic from the United Kingdom decreased by 2.3 per cent.
On the bright side, passenger numbers from Ireland rose by 15.6 per cent compared to March 2007, while Air Berlin registered the greatest rise in its passenger numbers to Faro, with an increase of 123 per cent.
