The Algarve will be promoting more than “sun and sea” at Lisbon’s BTL tourism fair being held between February 28 and March 4.
Nature, outdoor activities and sport, gastronomy and wines, and culture are just some of the “tourist products” that will be showcased at the popular annual event by the Algarve Tourism Board (RTA).
Described as the country’s biggest tourism fair, BTL brings together all of Portugal’s tourism regions in a bid to promote the best that Portugal has to offer.
The RTA stand comprises 702sqm and is designed to depict the Algarve’s iconic cliffs and caves.
“BTL is the main event for tourism promotion in Portugal,” says Algarve tourism chief Desidério Silva.
“It is an opportunity to lure more tourists to the Algarve, which ended 2017 with over 19 million overnight stays.”
