SPECULATION AND rumour have surrounded the details of the Algarve Summer Festival’s line-up for months, but finally, following a press conference last Friday, the artists for this year’s event are now confirmed.
As predicted, it will be a two-day affair, taking place on June 17 and June 18 at the Algarve Stadium in Faro. This year’s star line-up features James Blunt, Melanie C, The Black Eyed Peas, Rui Veloso, Souls of Fire, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Boss AC and FF.
If you’re not already sick of hearing his multi-million selling single, You’re Beautiful, you can catch Brit Award winner James Blunt, the great discovery of 2005, performing on the first of the two days. Ex-spice girl and fellow Briton, Melanie C, whose hits are massive in Portugal, joins him for the June 17 line-up when she will be performing tracks from her latest album Beautiful Intentions.
