BRITISH TOURISTS topped the list of the most people visiting the Algarve in June.
They represented a market share of 44.8 per cent and this was followed by Portuguese and Irish with 18.3 per cent and 8.1 per cent respectively. Portimão, Vilamoura, Quarteira, Quinta do Lago, Lagos and Sagres experienced the greatest influx of tourists.
According to the Algarve’s hotels and resorts association, AHETA, Albufeira was at 87.3 per cent capacity, which was the highest in the Algarve and the lowest was recorded in Armação de Pêra.
