Vilamoura Marina (Best Marina) and Salgados Palace & Congress Centre (Best Congress Establishment) were the two Algarve nominees that brought home a prize from the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2018.
The Algarve had fielded 14 nominations for the awards but ended up losing one winner compared to last year, when Zoomarine was named the country’s Best Park/Company of Tourist Entertainment.
The award ceremony took place on the opening day (February 28) of Lisbon’s BTL tourism fair and was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism Ana Mendes Godinho.
Vilamoura Marina’s managing director Isolete Correia has celebrated the latest accolade, describing it as a “huge honour”.
“This award acknowledges all the work we have been carrying out for the last 44 years. It highlights our excellent services and motivates us to continue surpassing our clients’ expectations,” she added.
