German businessmen Friedrich Wilhaus and Hans Jürgen Franz have opened a park and fly facility on the EN125 near Faro airport, offering an alternative parking solution for users of the airport.
Park & Fly is located near the Maxmat store and consists of a fenced, secure area of 2,600 square metres for cars to park either on a long or short term basis with clients able to choose if they would like their vehicle to be parked in the shade o not. Friedrich Wilhaus of Park & Fly said: “We want to offer a safe service car park for all Algarve residents and holidaymakers who haven’t been completely satisfied with the safety of the previous parking situations.”
Clients parking at Park & Fly are transported between the park and Faro airport on a free shuttle bus to the terminal and are picked up again when returning.
“Before clients return, the dust will be removed from their car and the tyre pressure and battery checked to ensure the smooth continuation of their journey,” added Friedrich Wilhaus.
Park & Fly daily rates start from five euros a day with long term contracts available.
