DEATHS ARE predicted to outnumber births in the EU from 2015, states a new report by the EU’s statistical office, Eurostat.
The survey into population patterns has predicted that the ratio of pensioners to working aged people will increase from todays level of 25 per cent to 53 per cent by 2060.
Other forecasts in the report include the prediction that the UK will have the largest population in the EU by 2060 with 77 million inhabitants, ahead of France and Germany.
