CHEGA leader André Ventura will be running for president in Portugal‘s upcoming presidential elections.
A press conference to formally announce his decision has been called for 5pm today (September 16).
The leader of Portugal’s main opposition party had already run in the 2021 presidential elections, securing 11.90% of votes which put him in third place, behind Ana Gomes and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
