ARTE VIVA, a live art and music festival, is taking place at São Brás Museum this weekend.

The event takes place tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday from 6pm to midnight. Around 40 artists will be participating, demonstrating their work with live music on Saturday by the show band, Oo-Boop-I-Do, complete with gangster costumes playing from 7.30pm. Another band, Bandoojah, will perform at around 10pm with reggae, hip hop and funk music.

On Sunday, Amar Guitarra, led by João Cuña, will perform music especially chosen to highlight the sound of the Portuguese guitar, including jazz, bossa nova and tango at 7.30pm and Veredas da Memória at 10pm will play traditional Portuguese music until the end of the festival.

There will also be a fashion show, displays of street theatre, including fire eating, trick cycling, juggling and more.

A supervised children´s play area will be available with traditional games and face painting.
