What do you do on a hot Saturday in the Algarve besides go to the beach? Eight local artists have decided to get together under the olive trees at Quinta de Oxalá in Estombar, near Lagoa, to enjoy the cool breezes and lovely lake while painting and showing their work process.
Guests are invited to join the artists, many of whom conduct classes in oils, acrylic and watercolour. The idea for the afternoon came out of various discussions between the artists about how to share the creative process with non-artists and aspiring artists.
Whether you would like to come and just browse the completed works or discuss the works in progress, all are invited to enjoy a relaxed Saturday of art by the lake. The date is June 1 between 3pm and sundown.
