Visitors to Albufeira this weekend will be turning towards the skies as more than 20 hot air balloons take part in the first Albufeira Balloon Festival today (Friday) until Sunday.
Members of the public will be able to watch balloon races throughout the weekend in the skies above Albufeira while demonstrations will also be taking place on Praia dos Pescadores each day, with visitors being able to get into the basket of a balloon and experience a short flight while still being tethered to the ground.
Tonight, all the balloons will take part in a Night Glow presentation at midnight on Praia dos Pescadores with the burners from the balloons being used to accompany music.
