FOLLOWING A series of alcohol related incidents, Tavira Câmara has ordered all bars located in the dock area to close at 4am.
The previous closing time was 6am but following the unspecified incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption between 4am and 6am, the câmara decided on the new time.
Any bars found to be open after the new time will be immediately shut down and fined. Reported acts of violence and vandalism also led to the decision being taken as Tavira Câmara is keen to uphold its family holiday destination and cultural centre image.
