A BLIND 51-year-old woman was saved after falling into the River Arade in Silves as she was waiting at the bus stop on Tuesday.
Paulo Santos, 35, stopped his car on the way to work when he saw a body in the water. Jumping into the river immediately he saved the woman from drowning. “There were several people near the bus stop but they had their backs to the river and did not see the lady who had fallen,” said Mr Santos.
