BLUETONGUE DISEASE is spreading across the Algarve.
After an inspection by vets from the Organização de Produtores de Pecuária, a private organisation of animal farmers, several animals were found infected in different locations.
More than 30 animal farms have already been inspected in Alcoutim, Castro Marim, Faro and Loulé.The first signs of the disease are traces of blue colour on the tongue, loss of appetite, swollen tongues, nasal discharge and droopy ears.
