Youngster disappeared while swimming on Sunday
A special diving unit attached to Civil Protection had the tragic task today of recovering the body of a 17-year-old boy who went missing in the waters of the Mira river, in Odemira, yesterday afternoon.
The body was recovered mid-morning, around 20-30 metres from the spot where the teen was last seen.
Sunday’s temperatures were high, encouraging many people to the sea and river beaches.There is no information so far on the circumstances behind this tragedy. ND
