MEMORABILIA donated by Geoff Capes to raise money to help the bomeiros of the Algarve to be better equipped to tackle forest fires during the summer months raised almost 1,000 euros.
Owen Gee at Kiss FM auctioned the items on his show and listeners bid a total of 895 euros.
Thanks are extended to Owen Gee, all the staff at Kiss FM and the generosity of their listeners.
Commandant António Nunes will use some of the money to purchase winter protective clothing and the remainder will go towards the current target of 15,000 euros for a new second-hand ambulance. Fundraisers Angela Schulz-Henke and Ray Bentley are actively seeking a corporate sponsor or co-sponsors to secure the outstanding 7,500 euros.
