Four hundred police are busy working the Boom Festival that started this week in Idanha-a-Nova. By Tuesday, as many as 120 people “of various nationalities” had been arrested for possession of drugs and/or possession of weapons. Boom is a biennial “transformational” festival described by organisers as “a state of mind. Inspired by the principles of Oneness, Peace, Creativity, Sustainability, Transcendence, Alternative Culture, Active Participation, Evolution and Love”.
