President of Portugal Cavaco Silva won’t give in to pressure regarding the 2013 State Budget.
Cavaco Silva confirmed on Monday that he was “carefully analysing the State Budget law” and reiterated that he would not give in to any kind of pressure.
“The State Budget law is currently being analysed. It is very complex and has about 250 articles.
The government took several months to prepare this budget and the Parliament more than one month to discuss it,” he said.
“I will decide upon it after hearing other legal opinions and always taking into account the nation’s best interest.”
