ISABEL SOARES, President of Silves Câmara, was presented with a Diploma and Medal of Merit of Co-operation for her work to promote Portuguese and Arab cultures by the Luso-Arab Institute for Co-operation.
Silves has been twinned with the Urban Community of Marrakech since 2002.
Founded in 1895, the institute has developed relations between the two nations through cultural, economic, social and technical co-operation without political or religious agendas.
