Stray animals will no longer be put down at Lagos municipal kennel and cattery following the signing of a protocol on January 30 with local animal charity Associação Cadela Carlota & Companhia (ACCC).
ACCC will help to raise awareness about animal adoption at the municipal kennel as well as provide specialist care for stray animals.
Veterinary students in their final year at Évora University will also be helping with the initiative by carrying out the neutering operations and informing the public about its advantages.
