Faro Câmara has removed 170 abandoned vehicles from its streets since the end of May as part of a clean-up initiative.
The Câmara plans to remove a further 20 cars from various areas of Faro in the coming week while administrative processes to remove a further 115 vehicles from the streets have already begun.
A spokesman for Faro Câmara said: “The project is of the utmost importance to the Câmara as part of our environmental policy.
“We call on all citizens to continue to report the locations of abandoned vehicles so that we can promote a clean and organised image of the city.”
