Dear Editor,
I have just been reading the article in the Algarve Resident with regard to toll chips for cars. I currently live in the UK by I have a property in the Algarve and also a vehicle over there.
Does this mean I will need to get a chip for my vehicle the next time I am over in September or is it possible for my friend to get this chip for me if I need one?

Editor’s note: Dear Pat, unfortunately I cannot answer your question as the government is still in discussions with the opposition regarding toll chips for cars. There is much controversy surrounding this subject and therefore any answer may be wrong by the time final governmental decisions are reached.
