Man shot four times into restaurant, injuring waiter
Searches are continuing today for the man who shot four times into a busy Carcavelos beach restaurant early last night, injuring one of the establishment’s employees.
According to reports, the man was originally with a group of 10 people, but ended up firing a gun ‘following a discussion’.
The injured victim – a young man in his early 20s – was given assistance at the scene, and then taken to hospital. His injury is thought to be ‘light’, and more of a ‘grazing’ by a bullet, than a full-blown shot.
Carcavelos and São Domingos de Rana fire brigades, as well as PSP and Maritime Police, attended. The identity of the suspect, even the motive for his behaviour, has not yet been made clear.
