Popular Portuguese band Anjos lead singers Sérgio and Nelson are teaming up to take part in tomorrow’s (Saturday’s) 8 Hours of Portimão cycling marathon at the Algarve Motor Park. The brothers will join around 100 participants at the 10am start of a fun event which will be accompanied by live music, a bike accessory exhibition and other off-track entertainment.
On Sunday, the track is following up with an Open Day – the general public is invited to test two laps of one of the most modern circuits in the world in their own vehicles for a nominal charge of five euros.
An optional additional 12 euros secures the right to participate in the afternoon’s BBQ.
The above events coincide with the breaking news that the Motor Park is to host the prestigious Race of Champions within the framework of the Allgarve’10 programme on August 8 and 9.
