Hot weather on June 28 made for a hard fought crown green competition at the Amendoeira Bowls Club, near Alcantarilha, but it was Peter Clarke (right) who won all his round robin games before beating Jean Walton (left) in the finals by 11-4.
The competition on the crown green is held every Monday and anyone can enter.
