Dear Editor,
We got stopped on the island, as we came off the A22 at the end near Bensafrim on June 24, about midnight, having just flown into Faro airport on our way to Aljezur.
The Police were courteous and we had no problem. They just asked for our papers and checked the hire car documents and we were on our way.
We would be happy if this happened in the UK.
