While Parkalgar-Honda number two Miguel Praia celebrated his best ever seventh place finish at the latest World Supersport Championship round in Brno, team mate Eugene Laverty had to come to terms with a rare reversal.
The Northern Irish star performer looked all set to extend his lead in the overall standings when dashing his Honda CBR 600RR to the head of the field from third place on the grid, but subsequent engine problems meant that he was unable to finish the race.
With four events still to be contested, he now finds himself in third, seven and 22 points behind his main rivals.
