THE ALGARVE is to have nine new day childcare centres and four care centres for the elderly.
The move, which will create 200 new jobs throughout the region, involves an investment of 6.6 million euros supported by the state, local Câmaras and social solidarity institutions.
The largest investment, some 3.8 million euros, is to equip the childcare centres which are to be located in Loulé (two centres), Portimão, Silves (two), Olhão, Aljezur and Faro.
