A man was found dead with a bag around his head in Lisbon’s Monsanto forest yesterday afternoon.
The victim was “on his knees”, writes Correio da Manhã (not explaining how a dead body could remain in that position).
According to CM’s report, the body was also in an ‘advanced stage of decomposition’ which, given weather conditions, suggests the man died some days ago.
SIC Notícias adds that “all his possessions” (cellphone, identity documents, money) were with him.
PJ police are investigating, and for the time being, “all hypotheses remain open”.
The man is believed to have been in his 30s to 40s – and CM adds that his identity has already been established.
The body will now be subjected to an autopsy which may be able to explain the circumstances that led to this death.
