Telecommunications regulator Anacom is being sued for €42 million by consumer watchdog Deco over claims that the company failed to adequately manage the national switch to terrestrial digital television. Deco said Anacom’s mismanagement of the situation led to many users being without access or information. But the telecom regulator said Deco’s accusations were “groundless” and it felt confident it would win the case.
